Hey uh so...yeah that was quite the hiatus from here, huh? Oh boy.
So...yeah I remembered that DA exists. After a few months of being stupid busy with a whole host of stuff and things, I have come back and now I have sooooo many posts to catch up on. OH WELL.

First off, holy heck you guys that video was absolutely mind blowing!
Everyone who worked on that video needs all the kudos in the world because I mean dang, that was some neat stuff!

Now, first thing I need to get off of my chest with that is I want to SCREAM that Mark has been setting this whole thing up LITERALLY for YEARS. YEARS.
Way back when, I think it might have been around the time of A Date With Markiplier, Mark did a whole video talking about it, I'm pretty sure it was ADWM and not Who Killed Markiplier anyway...and the words he said were 'if I am going to create an opposite version of me, he's going to be the f*cking worst'.
Now, if you haven't figured it out by now, it's being made clear now that all this time our dear old Mark that we love is actually the villain. HE IS THE BAD GUY. Mark for a long time has been telling us that Dark is the bad guy, he's the worst of him. What if that was all part of the story? All part of Mark setting up this stigma against Dark, because HE KNOWS Dark is coming for him and he needs people on his side, he needs the masses on his side. US. So if he has us believing that Dark is the evil one, what's Dark going to do against the millions of us rooting for Mark? It's like that video on Game Theory, telling us to pay attention to some of the things Mark says, he's been setting something big up for a very long time.

Okay, now let's get into the DAMIEN video.
I think it's pretty clear that Celine, wherever they were, had created that cabin in the woods to keep what was left of Damien alive after he had been killed by whatever that entity was inside the house. Killed them both. But she still had the mind and strength to keep some part of her twin brother alive, keeping him on a loop. Possibly saving William and the Detective to, this I'm unsure on. Especially with William being able to manipulate the world, like when he was teleporting around the room.
Anyway, in the end I think Celine ended up doing as this entity wants, this thing wanted form to go after Mark and finally destroy him. Whatever was left of Celine, Damien and the entity all forming one being. Dark.
I think it's possible Mark possesses power to similar to Celine, to pull off half the things he did (literally dying and jumping into Damien's body) that has to be the case right? That's just a theory of course. There is something more going on here that I can't quite put my finger on! But it's all rather exciting.

And last but not least, after going back and watching some of the other videos...who knew that 'go back to sleep' was actually a trailer for DAMIEN? Don't believe me? Go watch it. You see the woods, the cabin, Celine, hell even the water...and now the words 'you created this place for broken things' makes a little more sense. This has been foreshadowed for a long time, who knows how much more Mark has foreshadowed in his other videos?

So I need to get this off of my chest, even if no one reads this!

I'm a Marvel fan, when it comes to DC my interest in them only goes as far as Batman I'm sad to say. I never really connected with many, if any, of the DC world characters.
But anyway I'm getting off of topic.

As much as I adore the MCU, especially since it's revival over 10 years ago with Robert Downey Jr as Ironman, I am also very very upset with them over recent events.
The cancellation of all of the Marvel Netflix shows was a hard hit, especially when it came to my favourite of the shows, Daredevil. I absolutely adored the dark and gritty atmosphere of the show, and Charlie Cox's performance as Matt Murdock was beyond perfect. I plan to tell him exactly that when I meet him at Wales Comic Con later this year. Now if that isn't bad enough, it turns out that in the next Avengers Movie 'Endgame', the Yakuza are going to play some sort of small part in the storyline pertaining to Hawkeye's transformation into Ronin.
Why am I upset about this? The Yakuza are the Japanese Mafia, and a group that heavily features in Daredevil. See why I am upset now? They cancel literally the best superhero show ever to have graced the small screen, then include the biggest enemy of that show in Endgame. It just seems to be a bit of a kick in the teeth to the DD fans, I just hope Marvel do bring DD into the MCU eventually, and with the same actor. Charlie Cox deserves to be a part of the MCU, he has the acting skills to make the character easy to connect with, and hell he does exceptionally well with playing a blind guy!

Anyway, yes for this oversight of seeming to tease the DD fans, I am a little upset with Marvel. As much as I want to see Endgame, I will be sad to see nothing of any cameo from any of the Defenders. Even if it just includes seeing them returning from the snap being reversed.

Cosplay Secrets

1 min read
So I may be planning a very secret cosplay currently with a friend...and I can't tell you how excited I am.
Why did this require a journal post? Cause why not?
I will be revealing this for it's first run, possibly not in it's entirety so that depends, at the March Birmingham Comic Con. Oh yes.
All my thread and first materials have been collected for the base of this cosplay, I need to buy a couple of small pieces and we are well under way with measurements and first plans drawn up. I even have the toy gun ready for painting. This is going to be one of my favourites to date, it even requires LED's. Hold on to your hats for this one. ;)

First clue, this cosplay is from a game, released this year for the PS4. I can't wait to post the progress pictures for this! :D

Fan films

3 min read
Yup, as the title says, I am talking fan films!
Very recently I've gotten a wee bit obsessed with fan films, the particularly good ones have me watching them over and over.
I kind of just wanted to bring a little light to a small selection of my favourites! The work of game and movie/book fans, in my opinion, a lot of the time can turn out so much better than any big companies can manage. Mostly because the fans show some true dedication to making this for fans as fans themselves!

First fan film: Severus Snape and the Marauders - Harry Potter Prequel
Now, a lot of people picked apart this movie, and goodness knows why! These people have completely funded this film themselves for a start, they aren't by any means a big professional company (despite the quality of the film) and the characters may not be totally true to what little we know about them but hey, this isn't canon! And what little we know about young Snape and the Marauders is all up for interpretation as far as I see it. I think they did a fantastic job personally, with the acting and the camera work, heck I would like to see some of these backseat directors do better! The director even wrote the music himself. That gives them massive props in my book! And yes, even JK herself approved of this. :)

UNCHARTED - Live Action Fan Film (2018) Nathan Fillion
This one is just superb, not only does it perfectly capture the essence of the games, but they have a fairly known actor in on this! Nathan Fillion both looks and acts out the part of Nathan Drake superbly. Take note big movie companies! This is how you translate games to film! The quality of the shots, the acting, it's all perfect! And apparently, Nathan Drake's character is genuinely partly based on Nathan Fillion! How's that for a little nugget of information? I definitely recommend giving this one a watch if you are a fan of the games.

The Brothers Rapture - Bioshock Short Film
As some of you may already know, I am a huge Bioshock fan! So seeing this film gave me goosebumps! Not directly based on the games themselves, but rather based around early conception of Rapture and into its demise. Based around two brother artists who go to Rapture to make a living for themselves, of course if you know the games then you know things were bound to go downhill very quickly! I thought the idea of seeing Rapture from the perspective of two completely non-canonical characters was brilliant, and the story in itself about the brothers is rather gripping! Another recommended watch.

So that's it for now, have you seen any of these? What are your thoughts? Do you have any favourite fan films? :D
